Join acclaimed songwriter, producer and keyboardist Kevin Savigar for a free interactive discussion of his music industry career on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 7 p.m. The ?New Heights? workshop will be hosted at Santa Clarita City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd.

?This workshop is a great way for Santa Clarita artists and arts organizations to learn about the skill sets needed to advance to new heights from someone with an impressive resume in the music industry,? commented Mayor Frank Ferry.

Kevin Savigar has created many recordings for a wide range of artists, including: Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, John Mellencamp, Pat Benatar, Marilyn Manson, Willie Nelson, Randy Newman, Sinead O?Connor, Peter Frampton and many others.? He has won four American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) awards, along with many Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awards for sales totaling over 40 million records.

New Heights is one class in an ongoing series of City art themed workshops designed to expand local artist?s skill levels and knowledge in various fields.
