Dear students,? I did not open the Tax Principles Module Monday am as shown on the schedule and it has a file in it explaining more about the Baker Workbook Exercise 3 assignment (see screenshot below ? Content Module 7 ? Part C Weekly Assignment Info).
I have now opened that module so it is available to you.? Therefore,? I will also EXTEND THE DEADLINE OF THE EXCEL/BAKER WORKBOOK EXERCISE 3 ASSIGNMENT BY ONE WEEK.? So, the revised deadline for the Baker Exercise 3 (Excel) assignment will be Monday 11/5 11:59pm.? There will be no change to the Marginal Tax Rate discussion deadline, so both will be due on that date. The discussion will be available beginning 10/29 as shown on the course schedule.? The course schedule in the syllabus available to you in eLearn has been updated accordingly.
Now just to be sure we are all on the same page about the assignment: Per the course schedule, the assignment is all based on Exercise 3 in Baker (your workbook) ? but instead of doing it on paper, as the workbook assumes, you need to do the budget development in Excel.? All the problem set-up and information is therefore in your workbook.? Also, the key is available to you in Support Module 4 part B ? the key has the correct answers (for 2nd edition, the required edition for this course, hopefully that is what you have!). READ THE FILE ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT LOCATED IN MODULE 7, PART C.
If you run into a specific question about a formula or something as you work, you can email me your spreadsheet and tell me the questions ? I won?t go through someone?s entire sheet, but I will definitely help with specific questions about a calculation.
